hmmmmm.....
Just a note, I did not receive a single get well card (not counting the 2 I received very early on, one being from mom) or flowers following surgery. My inner circle was there with their incessant texts and actual hugs, but from....oh say family in other states?....not a word...hmmm
The Big C scares people. Maybe they just don't know how to respond? People subconciously tend to think its contagious. You can get it by becoming involved in anyway. I am sure they are at least minimally worried about it.
Have you called and talked to anyone out of state? Do you remember blocking everyone in the family from emailing you (which does bounce a message back to the sender telling them they've been blocked by you)? Shutting people out tends to send a message that you don't want to be contacted. Are you expecting the family to read this blog and then send you gifts when you won't take any calls (that I'm aware of)? You sort of tore into the family earlier in this blog, so people who might have tuned in initially might have been turned off by being ripped on and stopped reading. This might be a good way for you to update your friends, but I don't think many family members are actually reading this, so you might need to consider another means of communicating if you want them to be involved in your life. Just a thought. But I am the mean/selfish sister, so what do I know. How does that saying go...you catch more flies with honey than vinegar? Seems appropriate here.

Love you!
